Wrestling was definitely on TV in Poughkeepsie, NY in the 1970s, but I never really watched it.
Rather than see drawn out 30 minute matches that were the norm at house shows at the time, all of the matches were five minute squashes.

Former state champion high school wrestler and student of Iron Mike Sharpe, Charlie Haas earned a full athletic scholarship to Seton Hall University.
After graduation, Haas went to work for the prestigious Goldman-Sachs stock broking firm before eventually signing with the WWE's developmental program a few years later in conjunction with his twin brother Russ.
Sadly, Russ died in his sleep of a heart attack in December of 2001 leaving Charlie to fend for himself.

Charlie was left to choose between carrying on he and Russ' dream solo or ending it altogether.
