 Japundit » Letter from Tsuruga
Nuclear accidents (oh, it’s just another heavy-water leak, nothing too serious) are a fact of life in Fukui Prefecture, which is home to 15 nuclear reactors at five sites sprinkled along a stretch of coast on the Japan Sea, just north of Kyoto.
The reactor in question is nicknamed “ Monju ” after the eponymous Buddhist diety representing wisdom (“We have some serious problems with their choice of name for the facility,” said a monk residing at a nearby Zen monastery) and is located in Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture.
Even worse, in 1999 the first shipment of MOX fuel to Japan, bound for a thermal reactor in Fukui, had to be returned to the English reprocessing facility because of fraud.

Copies of a letter containing the students’ demands are pasted on government building walls, he said, adding, “It’s difficult to resolve this issue since there are not enough jobs for all the protesters."

 Video Game Law Blog :
It’s been speculated that this is a move by the Japanese gaming industry to forestall government regulation on video game content, in light of the recent move by Kanagawa prefecture to ban the sale of Grand Theft Auto III to minors.
Video game ad insertion has traditionally been problematic because ads would need to be integrated into the game’s code, leading toward logo or brand placement instead of current ad campaigns or timely offers; however, because Massive’s technology permits ads to be constantly updated via the web, ads can be current, timely, and frequently changed.
The game’s opponents are concerned about the game’s effect on children, but the ESRB rating in theory means that children younger than 17 are not able to purchase or rent it.
