He began playing the accordion at age 6 and started his first band at age 13, the popular Šumadija Orchestra of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He performed with this group throughout the 60's at Serbian churches and ethnic folk festivals in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Ontario, Canada.
He still performs with the original members of the Šumadija Orchestra, now known as the Kumovi Orchestra of Los Angeles, California, and he also enjoys performing solo for international folk dancers in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Belgrade's surroundings consist of two different natural systems: On the north, the Pannonian depression, covered with wheat and corn, and umadija, with orchards and vineyards, south of the rivers Sava and Danube.
The highest relief forms in umadija hillside are Kosmaj (628 m) and Avala (511 m).
Starting from south, the terrain gradually descends to the north, in shapes of wide plateaus, sectioned by stream and river valleys.

In 1903 Beograd and Zagreb got their first football babies: Soko (Seagull) and HA?K (Hrvatski Akademski ?portski Klub - Croatian Academic Sport Club).
Football gained a lot of popularity, so clubs were founded in Ljubljana (Ilirija), Kragujevac (?umadija), Novi Sad (NAK), Sarajevo (Gradjanski), Varazdin (VG?K), Split (Hajduk), Beograd (BSK, Jugoslavija, BASK...), Zagreb (Gradjanski, Concordia, Akademija, PNI?K)...
Yugoslav national team played its first international game at Olympic Tournament in Antwerp in 1920.
