Presently, it is economically viable to extract about 288 MJ of electricity from the residues of one ton of sugarcane, of which about 180 MJ are used in the plant itself.
Thus a medium-size distillery processing 1 million tons of sugarcane per year could sell about 5 MW of surplus electricity.

The centerline, the 1 km-wide buffer zone, and the 30 km-wide corridor were entered as separate layers in the GIS database, allowing for greater flexibility in the analysis of the various corridor comparison criteria.
Corridors B and C respectively contain approximately 40-55 percent and approximately 60-80 percent of the amount of disturbed lands compared to Corridor A depending on whether the centerline, the 1 km-wide buffer zone, or the 30 km-wide corridor are considered.
The objective of the surveys were: (1) to compare the biological sensitivities along the Original and Alternative Routes; and (2) to assist in developing environmental management requirements for the selected route.

Such textures are usually used to indicate flow rheology and mass eruption rate (pahoehoe is fluid lava erupted at a low mass eruption rate, a'a is more viscous and has a high mass eruption rate).

 Chaos on Europa
IIA we have mapped and catalogued all areas with fundamental similarities to Conamara Chaos over as much of the surface of Europa as has been imaged at appropriate resolution by Galileo through orbit E15, which includes far more data than had been available to Pappalardo et al.
Therefore, considerable caution is required before asserting that albedo can be used to extend mapping of chaos to those extensive parts of the surface where morphology-revealing imaging is not yet available.
Our mapping based on data through orbit E15 shows that chaos areas are widely distributed on Europa.
