Each time you follow that pattern, anywhere on the 10-key numbers, you get an answer that is divisible by 1089.
It might have something to do with the Fibinacci(sp?) sequence(1+1=2, 2+1=3, 3+2=5, 5+3=8, 8+5=13, etc. with the next number in the sequence being the sum of the two previous numbers, with the exception of 1), however, I'm not sure if 1098 is a Fibinacci number...
I found out it is sometimes reffered to as "Gods Sequence" because the numbers in the sequence occur naturally in nature.
