		The intent of the 10mm Info Pages is to provide as much data as is possible, hopefully to de-bunk some of the silliness, untruths, and disinformation out there in an honest, truthful, and sensible manner as is possible on the ONE 10mm that performs as well as any non-magnum semi-automatic cartridge in firearms history.
		Soon after the field agents started using the 10mm, complaints from agents about recoil and alleged breakage began to surface, and the stage was set for the end of the cartridge.
		I have seen an interest in the 10mm however small that is promising.

		Once the FBI declared that the 10mm Auto was "the best law enforcement cartridge available" the 10mm became "THE" hot police cartridge and law enforcement agencies across the country started looking at it for their own needs.
		The "new" 10mm Auto was added to the testing, but it was felt the recoil would be unmanagable for many agents and so the FBI Firearms Training Unit handloaded their own 10mm ammo using a 180gn JHP loaded to the same 950fps as the other two loads.
		Or the 10mm can be pressed into double duty as a back-country gun where one may be forced to defend himself (or herself as the case may be) against either four or two-legged predators.

		The F.B.I. had adopted the 10mm Auto as its service cartridge and it looked like big things were going to happen for the 10mm and so I figured I would just wait until something I really liked came along.
		Even though the 10mm Auto cartridge survived the demise of the Bren Ten, it hasn't turned out to be the "ultimate" cartridge in regards to its popularity.
		While it isn't specifically dedicated to the 10mm Auto, it's where fans of the EAA 10mm Witness hang out and a lot of good information on this gun can be found here.

		10mm Auto requires a platform big enough to handle.45 ACP (since the cartridge overall length is about the same).
		The 10mm is faster then the 45 in same bullet weights, has only.05" less diameter (not much if you all ask me) and has more downrange power then the 9mm, 357sig or most of the other cartraiges.

		It is true with the 10mm that it was given to law enforcement and then expected with little to no training or practice for the agents to be proficient with that gun.

		A lot of veteran 10mm shooters will suggest you start reloading if you want to see just how hot you can go with the 10mm Auto and still be within safe/sane limits.
		Yeah, 10mm would seem to be the round of choice for those with lots of cash laying around in buckets, or for reloaders.

		The basic idea was to duplicate the ballistics of the 10mm FBI load (the 10mm Lite) in a cartridge that would feed in medium frame autoloaders designed for the popular 9x19.
		SandW realized that for police or self-defense purposes the large powder capacity of the 10mm Auto was wasted, and the drawbacks of a large frame pistol (required for the 10mm) could be avoided if the new cartridge could be made small enough to work in 9mm pistols.
		You are right, the 10mm is preferable for someone who shoots and is unaffected by recoil, but for the average LE type who is not a firearms enthusiast, it is a good compromise round.

		Collecting magazines, annuals and other Bren Ten and 10mm Auto literature is not only fun, but it's also quite cheap when compared to the cost of buying an actual gun (especially a Bren Ten!).

		At the time of the request for this new caliber, the FBI was hot on this cartridge, since the.40 Smith and Wesson had not yet been invented.
