In this letter to Subcommittee on Workforce Protections Chairman Charles Norwood, NFIB expresses strong support for HR 1119, the "Family Time Flexibility Act," which will be marked up in your subcommittee this week.
H.R. 1119 addresses this by giving employers the ability to enter into a flexible agreement with employees to enable them to take compensatory time off in lieu of overtime pay.
In other words, if an employer offers compensatory time, employees could choose to have their overtime compensation in the form of cash or paid time off equal to a rate of time-and-a-half if they prefer.

On behalf of the 600,000 members of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), I want to express strong support for H.R.1119, the "Family Time Flexibility Act," which will be taken up by the House of Representatives this week.
