Local 1145 was organized in the 1941 by workers at Honeywell and the United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers Union (UE).
Local 1145 had to strike ATK three times in the 90's to maintain their wages and benefits.
In late 2001 Local 1145 negotiated an excellent contract with Honeywell that added wages, increased the pension benefits by 22%, added a company match 401(k), included pre-tax premiums, and locked in 100% medical for active members and retirees.

The air quality objective of PAR 1145 is to further reduce emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from plastic, rubber, leather, and glass coating operations by lowering coating VOC limits, improving transfer efficiency, or other emission reduction techniques that are technologically feasible and cost effective.
