OCCULTATION BY (119) ALTHAEA - 2002 AUG 25
UPDATE: 2002 JUL 29, 22:22 UT On the night of 2002 Aug 25 UT (right on dawn on the 26th), the 57 km diameter asteroid (119) Althaea will occult a 8.6 mag star in the constellation Pisces for observers along a path across the eastern flanks of both islands of New Zealand.
In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 3.3 mag to 11.8 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 17.2 seconds.

In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 2.4 mag to 11.8 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 4.6 seconds.
