Some soldiers dressed up in replica uniforms of the 11th Hussars from 1854 and the trooper's own account of the charge was read out to the congregation at St Peter's Church, along with Rudyard Kipling's poem the Last of the Light Brigade.
A horse-drawn carriage carrying two veterans of the 11th Hussars then led a procession to the churchyard where Trooper Warr is buried and a plaque was placed on his grave.

The 11th Hussars date back to 1715 when General Philip Honeywood raised a Regiment of Mounted Dragoons, this was at the time of the Jacobite rebellion.
After the Great War the Regiment returned to England and in 1921 were retitled 11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own), this name the Regiment kept until 1969 when they amalgamated with 10th Royal Hussars (Prince of Wale's Own), they were renamed The Royal Hussars (Prince of Wale's Own).

Since the 11th Hussars were the most spectacularly dressed of the regiments involved, it seems natural for them to portray this regiment first.
