		1200 Techniques' boundary-breaking debut Choose One has been in the making for some time, since three Melbourne-based musicians - hip-hop original DJ Peril, his genre-jumping guitarist brother Kemstar, and the impossible-to-ignore MC Nfamas - got fed up with treading water in countless other bands, and decided to make a go of it together.
		When Kemstar turned up with the incredible riff that would become 1200 Techniques' first indie single Hard As Hell, Peril's instant reaction was: "Stuff this, maybe we should have my brother in the band more often.
		Since conception, 1200 Techniques have developed into the most energised, eclectic, yet supremely focused band in Australia.

		Melbourne's 1200 Techniques prefer to call themselves alternative hip hop, since their influences come from a wide variety of music styles; 70's rock, funk, electro, drum and bass, as well as hip hop.
		1200 Techniques was formed when Peril saw Nfamas and brother Kabba doing freestyle rapping with another band at a local Melbourne hotel.
		Kabba appears on some of the group's early tracks but it was the line-up without him which was heard on 1200 Technique's first single, 'Hard As Hell'.

		Their Beastie Boys influenced hip hop with guitars stylee seems to have won favour with the breaks/hiphop massive and no, this ain't no Limp Bizkit approach, 1200 Techniques have favoured more of a '83 RUN DMC kind of style - ie back when hip hop was fresh and DIY.
