The Conan Forums -> Legend Of Kern
If it didn't take place in Cimmeria, I would be getting frustrated when he throws in Conan's name any chance he gets (at least once per chapter).
Judging from the excerpts I've read, what I like about this series is that Cimmeria is so rugged that it pushes the rugged physiques of Cimmerians to the limit.
In one part Kern remarks that the clans that live in the north west part of Cimmeria are more primitive and brutal.

In fantasy worlds, gods can walk among us.
In some campaigns the gods might be amorphous beings who rarely dabble in mortal affairs, such as Cimmeria’s “Crom”.
In other campaigns on the other end of the scale, the gods might be as common as in Greece, where any passing swan might be a god in disguise.
