I used the 1343 before I switched to all soy and natural.
While both are translucent straight paraffins, the 1218 has a slightly higher meltpoint and has 2x the FO load of the 1343.
I just use the standard 3TBLs PP of stearic with the 1343 - I wieghed it out once, I think it was 3% and yes, it does require a repour.
