Maitre Jehan de Montesiler (Orleans, 1429)
Jean d'Aulon testified [some time after the event, at the rehabilitation trial of Jeanne d'Arc] that on the first day of attacking Les Augustins, he instructed the French gunner, Jehan de Lorraine, to take out "a large Englishman" who was causing great harm to the French attackers at the gate to the compound.
Another account of the siege of Orléans (1429) is le Journal du siège d'Orléans [believed to have been maintained during the event and written by an observer inside of the city] mentions that on 3 March (1429), "Jean [Jehan] de Montesiler, originally from Lorraine, a very skilled couleuvriner...

Hundred Years' War (1415-1429) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (via CobWeb/3.1 planetlab2.tamu.edu)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-21)
It lasted from 1415, when Henry V of England invaded Normandy, to 1429, when English successes were reversed by the arrival of Joan of Arc.
It followed a long series of peaces lasting from 1389, when the Caroline War, characaterised by French victories, was closed and was so-named because it had its beginnings in the plans of Henry IV, the first of the House of Lancaster to sit on the English throne.
Furthermore, in February 1429 Sir John Falstaff, who was taking a supply convoy to Orléans, was attacked by a French army with a small Scottish contingent.

 CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
It is the movement of a "contrite heart," drawn and moved by grace to respond to the merciful love of God who loved us first.[19]
1429 St. Peter's conversion after he had denied his master three times bears witness to this.
Jesus' look of infinite mercy drew tears of repentance from Peter and, after the Lord's resurrection, a threefold affirmation of love for him.[20] The second conversion also has a communitarian dimension, as is clear in the Lord's call to a whole Church: "Repent!"[21]
