Battle of Megiddo (15th century BC) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Battle of Megiddo (15th century BC) was fought between Egyptian forces under the command of the pharaoh Thutmose III and a large Canaanite coalition under the King of Kadesh.
The date most favored by Egyptologists is 1457 BC (according to the accepted Middle Chronology), although many other publications place the battle in 1482 BC, 1479 BC, or 1469 BC.
The Battle of Megiddo was an Egyptian victory and resulted in a rout of the Canaanite forces, which fled to safety in the city of Megiddo.

The Origin of the Greek Gods
According to Trojan mythology Erichthonius was the son of Dardanus and Batia the daughter of Teucer (1460-1440 BC).
The Argive version of the Demeter story places her in 1520 BC by referring to Pelasgus who was king at the time and the enmity between Trochilus the priest of the mysteries (of Hera) and Agenor the son of Ecbasus the son of Argus.
By 1440 BC Celeus was now king of Eleusis and Iasion of Troy raped Doso a Cretan queen or princess and was put to death and this became the source of the story of the rape of Demeter by Zeus.

Towards 1279 BC, many monuments were probably located parallel to the Nile, adjacent to the farmland that lies between the temple of Sety I to the north and the small temple of Medinet Habu to the south ; this small temple dates back to the 18th Dynasty.
Ramesses II chose as a site an area that was bordered, to the north, by the temple of Amenhotep II and the "Chapel of the White Queen" and, to the south, by the temple of Tuthmosis IV and the chapel of Wadjmes.
In the Third Intermediate Period, between the 22nd and the 25th Dynasties (945-656 BC), the temple was still sufficiently influential to attract a sacerdotal necropolis.

The 3rd Dynasty (2647-2573 BC) was the first of the Memphite houses, and its second ruler, Zoser, or Djoser, emphasized national unity by balancing northern and southern motifs in his mortuary buildings at Saqqara.
As a consequence of internal strife, the reigns of this and the succeeding 8th Dynasty (2134-2124 BC) are rather obscure.
In fact the next two dynasties, the 23rd (818-715 BC) and 24th (727-715 BC), were contemporaneous with the latter part of the 22nd Dynasty, just as the 25th (Nubian) Dynasty effectively controlled much of Egypt during the last years of the 22nd and the 24th dynasties.

Biblical Studies: Old Testament*Date of the Exodus
Since many of the late date scholars reject the early date (1446 BC), many scholars, without question, follow the dating scheme as advanced by others for a late date (1250 BC) based on GAD of Egyptian chronology.
Dynasty (1550-1295 BC; Shea, 1550-1295 BC) has been established by using three types of data: (1) Sothic cycle dates, (2) new moon dates, and (3) the highest numbered regnal years attested for each of the kings who ruled during this period.
