While this mentality is sometimes present in filmmakers, the actual rigors of filmmaking tend to burn out the “15 Minutes of Famer” early in their filmmaking endeavors.
While most “fifteen minutes of famers” will try to radically weasel their way out of verbal agreements, few will try to do so if there is a written contract.

One of the most challenging parts in putting together this year’s mesh conference was picking the six presenters for 15 Minutes of Fame.
After a lot of discussion and some difficult decision-making, we’ve come up with our six presenters, who each get five minutes (or 300 seconds) to talk about what their company’s do and why their prospects for successful are so promising.

15 minutes of fame (or famous for 15 minutes) is an expression coined by the American artist Andy Warhol.
It refers to the fleeting condition of celebrity that attaches to an object of media attention, then passes to some new object as soon as the public's attention span is exhausted.
The title of the 2001 film 15 Minutes is a reference to this quotation, as is the title of the Touched by an Angel episode The Sixteenth Minute.
