  SCIENCE
The basis of science is to determine what is true, not by what the greatest authorities claim, or by what would be true in the ideal universe, or some magical revelation or inner feeling, but by what actually happens in the real world.
Science recognizes that all beliefs have the possibility of error, so it is always open to new evidence.
Science as it is practiced in the real world does not always live up to the ideal required by the scientific method.

Sir Thomas Browne (October 19, 1605 - October 19, 1682) was an English author of a number of works that disclose his wide learning in various fields of learning including medicine, religion, science and the esoteric.
A consummate literary craftsman, his works are characterised by erudite learning and a rich, unusual prose style which alternates between rough note-book jottings and the highest eloquence.
Browne's paradoxical place in the history of ideas is another factor as to why he remains little-understood; he was as much a scientist as a Christian and as much a promoter of the new inductive science as an adherent of ancient esoteric learning.

Peter Engel (born 1959) is a science writer, graphic designer, and architect, perhaps best known as one of the foremost American origami artists and theorists.
Engel studied the history and philosophy of science as an undergraduate at Harvard University, where he began studying origami seriously under design scientist Arthur Loeb.
By exploring the relationship between art and science, and between creation, invention, and discovery, Engel provides unusual insights on the craft medium which has strict inherent constraints in favouring simple, geometric patterns and yet holds enough creative possibility within it to capture an unexpected range of complex forms.
