Actually, the quality of the English prose of the 1611 is greatly superior, and at a lower reading level, than any of the modern translations.
For example, the formal tense of the pronoun, you, ie, thou is unparalleled in modern English, and frankly the weakness lies in the modern language, not the one the 1611 translaters rendered.
Moreover, the 1611's use of italics to distinguish words that are actually in the original from those which were necessary to render the translation does not appear in any of the other translations.

1611 King James Bible: First Edition Facsimile Reproduction - Deluxe Edition   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-22)
As this is presently the only exact reproduction of the 1611 being produced in the world, we expect the prices to go up after the last one is sold … just like what happened with the 1961 production.
Measuring the exact size of the original 1611 printing: an enormous 17 ½ inches tall by 12 inches wide by 5 ½ inches thick (including its slipcase), and weighing so much it nearly takes two people to comfortably move it, this is the finest reproduction of the 1611 ever undertaken.
It’s just like the real ones… visually IDENTICAL to an original 1611, and actually made out of the exact same materials as an original 1611… except that it is absolutely brand new, and less than one-half-of-one-percent the cost of the last 1611 sold at auction.

We must realize that these 'revisions' were simply corrections in printing errors that the printers themselves made down at the printing shop, or corrections in spelling and punctuation, or printing style.
The myth that there are several 'major' revisions to the 1611 KJV should be getting clearer.

The attack referred to is the myth which claims that since the King James Version of 1611 has already been revised four times, there should be and can be no valid objection to other revisions.
They were simple, obvious printing errors of the sort that can still be found at times in recent editions even with all of the advantages of useless, but they should be corrected in later editions.
I am referring to Psalm 69:32 where the 1611 edition has "seek God." Yet, even with this error, two points demonstrate that this was indeed a printing error.
