	Titan
		It is the only moon in the Solar System to have a dense atmosphere (10 times deeper than Earth's and with a surface pressure 60% greater).
		The existence of this atmosphere, first suggested by Jose Comas Solá in 1903, following his observation that Titan appeared brighter at the center than at the limb, was confirmed spectroscopically by Gerard Kuiper in 1944.
		Vastly more information about the moon was returned by the Voyager probes following their flybys in 1980 and 1981.

		About the time Percival Lowell was proposing canals on Mars, the Catalan astronomer Jos¿ Comas Sol¿, inferred the presence of an atmosphere on Titan.
		Sol¿ reported that he observed that Titan was darker at its limb than it was at its center.
		Sol¿¿s observations led Sir James Jeans to include Titan and giant moons of Jupiter in his theoretical study of the escape of atmospheres from the bodies of the solar system.

		This comet was discovered by Klim Ivanovic Churyumov who examined a photograph exposed for periodic comet 32P/Comas Solá by Svetlana Ivanovna Gerasimenko on September 11, 1969 at the Alma-Ata Astrophysical Institute.
		About a month after the photograph was taken (October 22), it was discovered that the object could not be the assumed comet, because it was about 1.8 degrees off the expected position.
		Further scrutiny produced a faint picture of Comas Solá at its expected position on the plate, thus proving that the other object was a newly discovered comet.
