International Dimensions of Education |
 | | Collaborative efforts among federal agencies, states, and international education associations must be developed and strengthened to promote cooperation for high quality collection, exchange, and interpretation of comparative data. |
 | | Designate an individual in the state education agency or at a college or university in the state with responsibility as a contact for cross-national comparative studies. |
 | | State education agencies, colleges, and universities should collaborate in establishing requirements for this study as part of teacher preparation and certification, and to expand the capacity of institutions to prepare teachers of the less commonly taught languages of Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian. |
