This list includes music written during the period from the late fifteenth century through the middle of the eighteenth century.
The majority of the music from this time span is considered to be Baroque (roughly 1600-1750) but music from the Renaissance Period that preceded the Baroque period, as well as a few examples of the Galant and Rococo styles which grew beyond the High Baroque style, is also included in this list.
The term "keyboard music" as applied here refers to music playable by one or two performers and may include music played on any type of keyboard instrument (i.e., harpsichord, organ, fortepiano or clavichord).
