His attention had moved on to the publication of collections of keyboard music and works for the Collegium Musicum, a group of excellent students which Bach took over in 1729 and were devoted to performances of secular works often to celebrate royal birthdays, weddings and the like.
We can probably presume that all music except chorale movements and recitatives are recycled from secular pieces and that many of the secular works have been lost.
In all of the musical literature, one cannot think of a more heavenly pastorale than that which opens the second section.

It is also ascribed to a choral song which is sung in thanksgiving for deliverance from evil or harm: A song of triumph sung either after a victory or before a battle.
In addition, a means by which the player will not only provide this healing music but also express of their own sense of thanksgiving.
