180 Solutions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
180 Solutions is the company that produces adware applications such as Zango and Seekmo.
During this time, 180 Solutions' applications were often difficult to uninstall, requiring the user to download an additional 'uninstall' application made by 180 Solutions or to use a spyware or adware removal tool.
Despite the initiatives of 2005, 180 Solutions recently admitted that it is possible for malicious users to hack their install routines and thus cause fraudulent installs.

180solutions Installation Methods and License Agreement
(1, 2, 3) When 180 software is installed on users' PCs through security holes, users are not told that software is being installed on their PCs, and users are not asked for (nor do they provide) any approval or consent.
Software from 180 is mentioned in this document, namely in pages 16 through 33 (right screen-shot below), without even the use of bold-face or all-capital type to alert users to the discussion of a different program beyond that in the first 15 pages.
Note also that Kiwi is not some "old" or "outdated" program using long-replaced 180 installation methods: cnet download.com reports that Kiwi was added to its index on July 2, 2004, and files in the Kiwi installation package bear date stamps as recent as July 2004.

What Passes for "Consent" at 180solutions
Finally, 180 would include a one-click button to uninstall its software immediately, along with another button that indicates users' consent to keep 180 installed.
If 180 included notice of this form -- unbiased truthful sentences, that fairly and frankly disclose 180's true effects -- users might be able to make an informed decision to keep 180's software.
But the stub's tricky text and poor disclosures mean users will still receive 180 software without being fairly told what it is and what it will do to their computers.
