Among the subjects excluded are advertising art, theater and festival arts, film, numismatics, seals and guidebooks (preface, p.xv).
This is "an international collaborative project to prepare a basic, multi-volume research tool for the filed of Latin American art history...The [three] volumes identify books, articles, anthologies, exhibition catalogs, and reports (both published and unpublished) written from the late nineteenth century through July of 1983 on Latin American art and artists.
