In a county whose population is 400,000 or more, the hours of operation for the office of the commissioner of civil marriages must be the same as the hours of the office in which marriage licenses are issued at the county seat.
If any county clerk shall issue or sign any marriage license in any manner other than is authorized by this chapter, he shall forfeit and pay a sum not exceeding $1,000 to and for the use of the person aggrieved.
It is unlawful for any county employee, commercial wedding chapel employee or other person to solicit or otherwise influence, while on county courthouse property, any person to be married by a marriage commissioner or justice of the peace or at a commercial wedding chapel.

Two letters from Hiram Price to Benjamin Perley Poore written in 1867 and 1868.
One letter written by Hiram Price on November 23, 1867, contains his local address and states that his wife is with him.
Most construction documents had been lost in an early 20th-century fire; data collected through NDE served to re-create the structural drawings.

Petition: In a petition to the Apr 1902 term of court, George JOHNSON said his ward, Cora L. WARNER, was then 8 years of age.
This couple was living in Fakes, AR in 1899 at the time of their marriage (Cora Lee Warner might be the person paying for the 58 months of board with Maggie Johnson?).
Early pictures of Cora Lee also bares a striking resemblance (could this photo be misidentified?) to the photograph believed to be S. Warner's daughter.
Unfortunately Pilcher was killed flying the Hawk (1899) before he had had a chance to test his powered machine.It shows Pilchers concept was sound and given that it was 4 years before the Wright brothers flight he may well have developed the machine to achieve flight before them.
