 | | Having completed comprehensive examinations in Cultural Theory, 20th Century Cultural History, and Post-1877 American Literature, I am embarking on a dissertation that will merge my interests in American literature, cultural studies, the politics of collective memory, and the study of trauma. |
 | | Beyond this, I remain interested in larger questions surrounding the literary and cultural studies, public history, and cultural theory, particularly with regard to the sometimes problematic notions of collective identity and the intersection of history and memory. |
 | | Before coming to GW, I earned a degree in English and a certification in Secondary Education from Connecticut College and taught American Literature and creative writing in Ledyard, Connecticut. |
