Oman's work is a classic but is outdated and not worth the effort except for hardcore researchers.First printed in 1885, the work is highly flawed.
The University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Cambridge, 1986.
This recent book is one of the best ever on the subject and one which captures a range of information in a colorful and exciting manner.
