Like in 1890s the modern Rap music of our era also uses dialects for one reason to keep preserve their culture of how some words are pronounced and written down such as "wanna" and "nuthin".
Thus, we see that though there are similarities in the music of both eras, the usage of certain words and themes help them to maintain their individuality.
