In 1835 a rail charter was granted by the Connecticut Legislature to an enterprise known as the "Fairfield County Railroad." The charter was established only to build a railroad between Danbury and Long Island Sound.
Raising the necessary construction funds, $230,000, proved difficult for the size of the population the rail line was to serve.
In October of 1970, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (Conn DOT) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York (MTA) entered into an agreement effective 1/1/1971 to oversee the operation of the New Haven Line by Penn Central and to jointly fund the operating deficit.

Your airport is near a coal mine and the coal at your airport is up to 1000 or so and your rating in coal is down to 11% then just build a train station next to your aiport and pick up the coal with a train.
To start with a transportation system based on railroad transporting only passengers and mail between nearby cities needs more time at first but later on you will receive lots of money for those trains, the cities love you and they will grow extremely fast.

Efficient transport of chopped cane is essential to avoid losses of sugar content after harvesting and to maintain a uniform flow of cane through the mills.
The solution to the problem of transporting sugar cane to central mills emerged with the development of light rail technology by the French farmer and engineer, Paul Decauville, and the English firm John Fowler and Company.
Small petrol-engined rail tractors were employed for light duties from the early 1920s and, after 1925, petrol-powered locomotives by Fowler and Hudswell Clarke appeared on mainline operations.

The group takes its name from the date in 1931 when Japanese troops invaded China and plans to deliver the petition of nearly 500,000 signatures to the railway ministry and other government departments on September 18.
Chinese officials have not settled on what technology they will use for the new rail link, but they plan to open the project to international bidding once a decision is reached later this year.
