		Radio Squad starred Sandy Kean, a courageous policeman who drove a patrol car; the car was equipped with police radio, a fairly exciting innovation in its day.
		Radio Squad was probably influenced by the popular comic strip Radio Patrol, which debuted in 1933, the work of writer Eddie Sullivan and artist Charlie Schmidt.

		Showing up in stores in Summer of 1942 were some of the 125,000 automobile radios Motorola converted to 115 VAC according to Ted Lind's time-line for Motorola's CP Division.
		I had to grind a bit off the inside edge of the face casting, believed to be of zinc, since it had warped a bit and was interfering with the free movement of the tuning cap on the upper end of the dial.

		Rival KFKF at times traded the market crown with WDAF and was picked up by American Radio Systems, who kept the ratings high, making Kansas City a rare radio market in which two of the top three stations were country.

		I have restored this radio into working condition replacing all the capacitors, the dial string and any tubes that it needed.
		Note the unusual shape of this radio which made it unique in its time.
