In 1922 the Italian Grand Prix was held at one of these new tracks, the Autodromo Monza.

The Monaco Grand Prix predates the organized World Championships; the Principality's first Grand Prix race was organized in 1929 by Antony Noghes, under the auspices of Prince Louis II through the "Automobile Club de Monaco" (A.C.M.) of which Alexandre Noghes was the founding president.
The Monaco Grand Prix counted toward the European Championship from 1936 to 1939 (although the race was cancelled in 1938).

Hockenheim hosted it's first German Grand Prix in 1970 as the Nurburgring underwent modifications, sadly this circuit will forever be known as the circuit where Jim Clark died in a Formula Two Race in 1968.
In 1977 the German Grand Prix was moved to it's current home Hockenheim, where Nika Lauda, having made a brave and quick recovery from his almost fatal accident the previous year, won.
