The expansion was completed in time for the 1979 NFL season, and the Rams played in Anaheim from then until their move to St. Louis after the 1994 season.
During the 1961 inaugural season, the Angels played at historic Wrigley Field in South Central Los Angeles, for many years the home field of the PCL Angels.
From 1962-1965 the team played at Dodger Stadium as tenants of the Dodgers, though the Angels always referred to their home field as Chavez Ravine (the name of the area in which the stadium is located).

Each team plays the other teams in their division twice (home and away) during the regular season in addition to 10 other games/teams assigned to their schedule by the NFL the previous May. Two of these games are assigned on the basis of the team's final record in the previous season.
In the 2003 season, the Cowboys revived their 1962 throwback uniform (blue jersey with white sleeves) for special occasions such as Thanksgiving; it was also worn on September 19, 2005 against the Washington Redskins.
The AFC was formed before the 1970 NFL season from the American Football League when the AFL merged with the NFL.
