	World Series
		In baseball, the World Series is the championship series of the North American Major League Baseball, played between the American League and National League champions, after the end of the regular season in October.
		The 1904 Series[?] was supposed to be between the AL's Boston Pilgrims and the NL's New York Giants.
		The Cleveland Indians ruined a possible all-Boston World Series by defeating the Boston Red Sox in a playoff after the two top American League teams were tied at the end of the season.

		It was the fifteenth World Series for the former Yankee catcher as Berra had first appeared in the contest in 1947 and went on play in a record seventy-five games before his last outing in 1963.
		The opening fiasco was their fifth consecutive loss in World Series play and for the first time (in a long time) the Yankees were the underdogs.
		On October 10, 1964, Mickey Mantle led off the ninth (9th) inning with a right field game winning blast that landed in the upper deck and broke the record set by the Bambino thirty-two (32) years earlier.

		For the Cardinals, this was their first appearance in the Fall Classic since they won the 1946 World Series over the Red Sox on Enos Slaughter's "Mad Dash."
