 News - Retired Numbers - Mikita/Hull - Chicago Blackhawks
Hull won the Art Ross Trophy three times (1959-60, 1961-62 and 1965-66); the Hart Trophy (MVP) twice (1964-65 and 1965-66); the Lady Byng (Sportsmanship) in 1964-65 and the Lester Patrick (Service to Hockey) in 1969.
That line helped Mikita win the NHL Art Ross Trophy (leading scorer) four times: 1963-64, 1964-65, 1966-67 and 1967-68.
Mikita is the only player in NHL history to win the Art Ross, Hart and Lady Byng trophies all in the same season — and he did it twice (1966-67 and 1967-68).

Look closely at the image of Jonny and you can tell this one was done using the 1986 models instead of any of the 1964 ones; presumably Hadji and Bandit were also drawn from the 1986 models.
No known occurrences of this type of error are known from any images used in 1964, making this one of the signs for recognizing an image released for the 1986 series.
Here is another version of the image which is a bit larger, quite a bit cleaner, and just all-around better.

Gus Cummins studied at Sutton School of Art from 1958 to 1961, Wimbledon School of Art from 1961 to 1964 (where he received a senior drawing prize) and subsequently at the Royal College of Art, London from 1964 to 1967.
He went on to teach at Hammersmith College of Art and Building, Sutton College of Liberal Arts and Croydon College of Art in the 1970’s and at Hastings College of Arts and Technology, Wimbledon School of Art and Ravensbourne College of Art and Communication in the 1980s.

Arthur Howie Ross (January 13, 1886- August 5, 1964) was a Canadian ice hockey executive and defenceman in the National Hockey League and its predecessor, the National Hockey Association.
Ross was then named the Boston Bruins first head coach for the 1924-25 NHL season, winning three more Cups.
Ross is credited as being the first to promote the use of hockey pucks made of synthetic rubber instead of natural rubber, which provide for more consistent play.

The trophy is named in honour of Arthur Howie "Art" Ross (January 13, 1886-August 5, 1964), who was an ice hockey player, referee, coach, and manager.
The Art Ross Memorial Trophy is given to the National Hockey League player with the most points scored at the end of the regular season.
Ross played defence for 14 years, and was on two Stanley Cup winners -- with the Kenora Thistles in 1907 and the Montreal Wanderers in 1908.

One of the most prolific and well-known Kakadu rock painters was Najombolmi (c.1895-1967), who repainted the famous Anbangbang gallery at Nourlangie Rock in 1964, probably Australia's most famous rock art panel.
In the Kimberley, Aborigines claim that the oldest art, the Bradshaw paintings, were made by the birds that pecked the rocks until their beaks bled and painted the images with their tail feathers.
