Orr's 139 points in the 1970-1971 season remains a record for NHL defencemen.
In his first professional season he won the Calder Memorial Trophy as outstanding rookie and began a turnaround for the perpetually last-place Bruins that culminated on May 10, 1970 when he scored one of the most acrobatic goals in hockey history to give Boston its first Stanley Cup in 29 years.

 Seattle Hockey Hall of Fame - Jim McLeod
Following four seasons in Portland, McLeod made appearances in both the NHL (St. Louis) and WHA.
Unfortunately his play early in the season was inconsistent, causing coach Keith Allen to acquire veteran Al Millar to take over in goal.
McLeod was younger than Head and was coming off of a much better season, but the move paid off for Seattle when Head helped them to the second straight league title in 1968.
