The United States Grand Prix is a motor racing event which has taken place at various times since 1959 in several locations, at first as a part of the American Grand Prize series and later as a race in the Formula One World Championship.
It was one of the season's most popular events with the teams and drivers as well, receiving the Grand Prix Drivers' Association award for the best organized and best staged GP of the season in 1965, 1970, and 1972.
During the 2006 United States Grand Prix, Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has said that it does not matter to him whether or not there is a Grand Prix in America, but he will not deny any good offers.

The Glen was a truly magnificent venue for Grand Prix racing but with the turbo era dawning it was obvious to all that the circuit was simply not safe enough.

The version of the film I saw opens with a scene from the 1977 South African Grand Prix with footage of a race marshall being hit by the car driven by Pryce in which both were killed.
You can tell these guys are a bit crazy, yet extremely brave to hop into a Formula 1 car and risk their lives with every foot they travel down the track.
There are some great interviews with the drivers, and even though this stuff is from the 1973 season, the ideas expressed through the film still apply to this day.
