  Sports : Historical perspective of the National Sports Festival 1973-2004
Jerry Enyeazu was appointed the Director of Sports.
The National Sports Festival did not hold on schedule in 1983, 1987, 1993, 1995 and 1997 for various reasons ranging from lack of funds, inadequate facilities and the prevailing political situation in the county then.
Are the sports facilities built for the purpose in the various states that the festival have held being properly maintained?

This VW is a slightly early version of the 1973 Sports Bug (first half of 1973) as it came stock with some chrome trim (around the head lights) but mostly fl trim elsewhere.
The 1973 Super Beetle had VW purists rubbing their eyes when a redesigned, full sized, padded dashboard replaced the traditional flat one that had been inside the Beetle since 1958.
The Sport Bug's sales brochure featured fl headlamp rings although some of the cars were fitted with the standard chrome ones.
