Two years later the Saint John Flying Club erected a combined hangar and social building near the Southwest corner of the Irving hangar.
Unfortunately, this hangar was destroyed by fire on July 6, 1975.
In 1975, Fundy Aviation Ltd. erected a metal hangar on a concrete slab and while waiting for the hangar door to arrive, a gale hit the city on Groundhog Day, February 2, 1976.

In 1964, he was given the PACE Award for exceptional service to the Department of the Army and in 1971, the Directorate he headed received a Management Improvement Certificate from the President of the United States.
Also in September 1975, the Aviation Logistics Office, of which he was Chief, received another Presidential Management Improvement Award.
Cribbins was honored by being awarded the Army Aviation Association of America Department of the Army Civilian of the Year Award.
