Definition of World Series - Biocrawler
In baseball, the World Series is the championship series of Major League Baseball in North America, played in October after the end of the regular season between the pennant winner of the American League and the pennant winner of the National League.
Currently, Major League Baseball, in cooperation with the IBAF, is trying to institute a World Cup of Baseball, to be held at least quadrennially during the Northern Hemisphere winter at a warm-weather site, to serve as a true world championship of national baseball teams.
Prior to 1969, teams finishing in the first division, or top half of the leagues' standings, received such shares; today only the teams finishing in second place in their division but not earning a wild card receive them, because there are more divisions and each division is smaller.

Cash played in all the Phillies' games in 1974 and 1975 and missed only two games in 1976.
He hit.300 in 1974, scored 89 runs, stole 20 bases, and drove in a career-high 58; in 1975 he upped his BA to.305 while leading the league with 213 hits, finishing second in the NL with 40 doubles and a career-high 111 runs (only one behind Pete Rose).
Scott hit.238 to Cash's part-time.321 that year, and although Scott stole 39 bases and led the NL in total chances per game, he was weak on the double play and scored only 69 runs in 151 games.

S.F.'s rich Japanese baseball history / Shinjo's signing continues a tradition that goes back nearly a century
Now San Francisco has Shinjo, whose new baseball home is Pacific Bell Park, which was designed by HOK Inc. The O in HOK stands for Obata -- after one of the founders, Gyo Obata, the son of Chiura Obata, who was the star of the San Francisco Fujii of the early 1900s.

If I am not mistaken, I believe they used the third-base-side dugout at the old Stadium until it closed after the 1973 season, and then they began using the first-base-side dugout when playing in Shea Stadium in 1974 and 1975.
Thanks for trying to give me an answer to the question of what year did the Yankees switch dugouts from the third base side to the first base side but unfortunately neither answer was right.
I think that the Yankees have been in the first-base-side dugout at Yankee Stadium since it re-opened in 1976.

Clark was out of professional baseball from 1993-98 before he heard about the expansion River City Rascals, a minor-league team that was scheduled to play its inaugural season in 1999 in O'Fallon, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis.
Clark played 10 seasons for the rival San Francisco Giants (1975-84), but what Clark did with one swing of the bat while playing for the Cardinals is enough to make most Dodgers fans cringe.
