The station in 1977 sought unsuccessfully to use Channel 41 as a public cable television station.
Also included is Broadside's 1977 application to the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare for funds to operate Channel 41 as a public cable television station, and a rival proposal by WSJK (William Lancaster, III proposal, 1977) to operate Channel 41 as an educational television station.
This subseries includes letters of Jim Owen, Broadside development director, and letters relating to specific Broadside projects (e.g., "Update 78") and interests (e.g., public broadcasting stations and cable television).
