The final cut, "Woodworker's Litany (Questions for Malcolm)," is an introspective piece in which Bok explores the internal processes experienced when an artist or artisan takes "a piece of the body of something that had a natural and contributive function on this planet" and shapes it into something else.

They are often dramatically silhouetted against distant star clouds or the nebulosities of star-forming regions, and Bok was excited by the possibility that most stars are born in globules.
We now believe that most stars are born in giant molecular clouds, and the globules are the leftovers after the clouds are disrupted from within by the light of their new star clusters.
