 The T-AVB: A Challenge To Aviation Supply Planners
In addition to the warehousing problems associated with stockage of an AVCAL and COSAL for use with the composite MAG, present aviation supply planners are having to develop a policy for the control, accountability, and warehousing of the ten day pack-up that is scheduled for delivery in Fiscal Years 1987 and 1988.
Aviation supply planners must for- mulate an answer to this problem well in advance of the T-AVB deployment.
Futhermore with the SOP's the aviation supply community will, within 48 hours of notice, form a composite group supply department ready to embark on the T-AVB to sail to a crisis area, assured that prompt and responsive supply support will be provided to the squadrons of the ACE.

 Chelomei
It is known that Chelomei stood out in 1936, when during his internship at an Aviation Plant in Zaporozhie, he proposed an untraditional solution to the problem of mechanical failures in one of plane engines.
On June 14, 1944, Minister of Aviation Industry Shakhurin and Marshal of Artillery Novikov accompanied Chelomei to the Kremlin for a meeting with Malenkov, Stalin's Deputy responsible for the aviation industry.
In December 1984, Chelomei was admitted to a hospital with a broken leg, after his Mercedes got off the brakes, as he was closing the gates of his country house.

Michael Dornheim, 51, a journalist for the Aviation Week & Space Technology, disappeared the evening of June 3 subsequent to dining with friends at a restaurant approximately 30 minutes from his home.
Prior to joining the editorial staff of Aviation Week in 1984, Dornheim was a senior engineer on the aerodynamics staff at the Boeing Co. Additionally he was a private pilot.
In addition he was a three-time winner of the Royal Aeronautical Society's Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards, which refer to his coverage of aviation news, aerospace technology and air safety.
