It says that music therapy has been used since biblical times but states that it was not until World War II that people began to recognize the wide variety of benefits that come from music.
References to pain management are made throughout the book and include using music to reduce post-operative or chronic pain, to increase pain tolerance, to reduce pain perception and increase feelings of comfort, and to keep clients’ minds off of their pain.
It was found that although guided imagery and music extended the period of time before the pain-threshold is reached farther than the group that only listened to music, it did not extend the pain-tolerance period of time.

Unless you are a complete idiot, it is pretty obvious what this is. It's a collection of most of the material this seminal hardcore band released between 1987 and 1991, with the exception of their Balance of Terror album and some compilation tracks that Roadrunner still owns the right to.
Musically, Wrecking Crew was one of the most brutal bands of their day.
