Nivelles an Autodrome near Brussels ran the Grand prix in 1972 and 1974 before changing to Zolder in the North west region of Belgium near Liege.
Zolder ran the Grand Prix from 1975 to 1982 a track that ran some great races but unfortunately best remembered for the accident that claimed the life of Gilles Villeneuve whilst practicing for the 1982 Grand Prix.
In 1983 and after a 13 year break the Belgium grand prix returned to a newly revamped Spa that had over 4 miles of the most dangerous parts cut out, But kept the most famous, La Source,Eau Rouge and the Raidillon complex.
