The Monaco Grand Prix, held there annually, was first organized by Antony Noghes, a well-to-do cigarette manufacturer and a resident of Monte Carlo, under the auspices of Prince Louis II through the establishing of the "Automobile Club de Monaco" of which Noghes was the founding president.
Grand Prix motor racing came to Monaco in 1929 when the first Grand Prix of Monaco automobile race was held.
The Grand Prix of Monaco is organized each year by the Automobile Club de Monaco who also runs the Monte Carlo Rally and the Monaco Kart Cup.

The British Grand Prix has been dropped from the motor racing calendar for the first time in Formula One history in a row over the multi-million pound deal to promote the Silverstone race, the track's owner's said today.
The British Racing Drivers' Club, which owns and runs the Northamptonshire circuit, had until today to submit an offer to promote the 2005 Grand Prix which met the approval of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone.
In May of this year Max Mosley, the president of the FIA said the Grand Prix was almost certain to stay at Silverstone for the next two years.

Originally used as a wartime airfield the circuit was converted to racing in 1948 when a track using a combination of runways and perimeter road was created.

This year, just before British Silverstone Grand Prix, the guys of Hasbro Interactive had the chance to, during a break in their intense practice schedule, catch up with the people from the Arrows Team, place them in front of a computer with the final version of the game, and hear accolades.
Apparently, both the drivers and their support teams were all amazed at the quality of the simulation...

This is a nice video that was produced in 1992 after Nigel Mansell had finally claimed the F1 world championship.
Framing the clips from all his grand-prix victories is a very interesting and entertaining interview with Murray Walker who of course also comments on the footage shown from all the different seasons.
You see his wheel-to-wheel duel with Ayrton Senna in Spain 1991, his superb duels with Nelson Piquet in 1986 and 87's British races, doubtless hugely memorable to those who were there, and lots more.
