Sure the 2000 World Cup was clouded with poor decisions and planning and sadly it is remembered for the all wrong reasons by most people but cast your minds back to the fantastic Centenary World Cup of 1995 even though it was played during the Super League war it was a great success.
Today Rugby League is growing all over the world, sadly it does this relatively on it's own with little help from the big league nations of Australia, Great Britain and New Zealand.

In the Powergen Schools cup a team from Wales Brynteg(Bridgend) won the boys yr 7 tournament.This comp is the largest league comp in the world 25,000 children acrosss 1,300 teams in England and Wales.
I mean at the last world cup, before the semis with the except of the Ireland-Argentina match I could have told you who'd win every match without a ball being kicked, even down to Uruguay beating Georgia etc. Although there were still some good matches.
League has fallen behind the English Union competition this year, and the Super League is in danger of losing coverage.
