The European Grand Prix is a Formula One event that was held during the mid-80's and has been held mostly regularly since 1993.
This race would revive the European Grand Prix tag, and the race would become a classic with Ayrton Senna's famous victory in wet/dry conditions with him essentially lapping the field.
Because of this it hosted the race again in 1996, but after complaints that no other countries were to get the race, the Nurburgring race was renamed the Luxembourg Grand Prix[?] as Jerez got the race back in 1997.

Silverstone is easier because if there is a crisis one can rush back to the factory to fix a problem or find a spare part; it is also more pleasant because it is the only Grand Prix from which a lot of people can go home at night and sleep in their own beds.
