  Monaco Grand Prix - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Monaco Grand Prix, held there annually, was first organized by Antony Noghes, a well-to-do cigarette manufacturer and a resident of Monte Carlo, under the auspices of Prince Louis II through the establishing of the "Automobile Club de Monaco" of which Noghes was the founding president.
Grand Prix motor racing came to Monaco in 1929 when the first Grand Prix of Monaco automobile race was held.
The Monaco Grand Prix counted toward the European Championship from 1936 to 1939 (although the race was cancelled in 1938).

In most Monaco Grands Prix some cars fail to make it round the first corner and this year was no exception.
Monaco has never been a circuit where passing is easy and even though the cars behind were clearly faster, they could do nothing to get past the red car.
At this point it seemed as if the remaining 9 cars would finish in their current order as there was no way for any car to pass another on the road and all stops were finished.

The gang at Ubisoft has produced an arcade style game in Monaco GP 2, although you get the impression that the game is stuck between being an arcade sprinter and PC simulator.
You don't get the at times fiddly but realistic F1 experience that Johnny Herbert Grand Prix delivers, but this game does have more to it than racing games like Need For Speed III.

You then briefly accelerate before the tightest corner on the calendar, the Lowes Hairpin (it was actually renamed a couple of years ago but everyone still calls it the Lowes Hairpin!).
