Sunday's gruesome loss to Denver closed the door on a winning season for the eighth straight year and, while the playoffs probably remain mathematically possible, the odds of a) the Chargers winning their last six games and b) an 8-8 record being good enough to earn a wild-card berth are somewhere around, oh, never-to-1.
