The night before the draft, MLS GMs were given a "buyer beware" on Armstrong, because he has a $70,000 offer on the table from an English club.
Don't be surprised if Armstrong comes to terms with MLS and plays with DC, because United is the only club in the league that can claim its players have averaged about $20,000 in bonuses the last three seasons, due to their success in Cup competitions.

Their most-productive draft picks have been CJ Brown (the 1st overall Supplemental pick in 1998), Carlos Bocanegra (4th overall, 2000 College Draft), Richie Kotschau (2nd overall, 1998 College Draft), Jim Curtin (3rd Round, 2001 SuperDraft), and Kelly Gray (5th overall, 2002 SuperDraft).

In its 1998 session, the Florida Legislature passed a new law which added several relatively minor "tune ups" to the 1997 legislation that is the subject of this article.
Since Florida’s new real estate brokerage relationship law has only been effective since October 1, 1997, not enough time has elapsed for the appellate courts to give judicial interpretation to any of its provisions that may be tested in litigation.
Nevertheless, because the draft language of the law was hammered out before its introduction as a legislative bill, it represents a compromise and consensus position.
